Excuse my ignorance, on a single shot breech load, what is the lever for? Does cycling the lever allow the gun to break open and also eject the shell or..?

My apologies for not responding, I didn't get a notification for your comment.

In case anyone else has the same question: the lever unlocks the action, no auto ejection, but the empty shells are easy to grab and pull out.
