Ithaca 1911 shipping records?

I just got my first usgi 1911a1 ithaca frame and was wondering if there was a way to get shipping records without paying 75$ for a letter. If I got the letter soon I wouldn't mind as I will buy it in the next few paychecks anyway but I know they take a while. Does anyone have a way to see what mine is, and what year it is? I first saw one that would indicate 1944 and another 1945 so I don't want to be wrong. No 1826021
Also any tips on getting a foia?
