That everyone watch the Patriot once a week for the rest of their life.
One of Mel Gibson's best movies and it hits a chord that all young people
in America needs to see.

I think of him melting down his child's Soldier/toy, for the lead... And it makes me think...

Just what it Takes, to be a True Patriot.

I saw on Face Book, a Crusader, from the Middle Ages, it touched me, because our RVN Call Sign was "Crusaders" the Caption Read: Someday...

ISIS will run into the Wrong Christians....

Screw Hollywood, if anything should be a duty it should be reading the Articles of Confederation, Constitution, Bill of Rights and Paine's Common Sense. Let people experience it in the words of the founding Fathers, not Hollywood's interpretation of what happened.

Honestly, I didn't care for that movie all that much.
Mel Gibson much better in Braveheart and it has a similar theme. He's fighting for freedom/liberty .

I dono about being a duty...; but it's too bad they do not watch on their own accord.

There are a bunch of old-patriotic movies they should be watching......Exodus, The Longest Day....here's some more...

"Lest We Forget".

Then watch Kelly's Heroes; think I've watched over a hundred times. I particularly enjoy watching Big Joe's speech at the farm....

It was good growing up with movies that had good American values, too bad Hollywood lost them. It seems to take foreign born people to remind us as to what our parents were.

Every American has a duty to country, at least up until the 60's when America went gunny bag!!!

How come foreign born actors have a tendency to make the most patriotic movies?

That's a fair question. Mel, of course, was born in Peekskill, New York. ;)
