Yes and then some. I've never felt any real concern about our firearms purchases because we live well below our means, live debt free, and save for the family's future. However, magazines I will admit we went a little gonzo over the years.

Why? I remember the AWB94 years and magazine are, generally, inexpensive, and we keep the number of types pretty low. I was also sure the anti-freedom mouth-breathers would eventually get a mag ban in place again, either at the federal or state level. And here we are. So, we were prepared, though I think we overshot it a bit. Not the end of the world: most will get use and those that don't we can sell off once we've hit the escape pods to a free state, which isn't far off.

Remember not really all that long ago when Pmags were completely out of stock everywhere, and were selling for $50 each? Pepperidge Farm remembers . . .

What I find funny -

The same people who are stock piling mags (due to unconstitutional laws) are the same individuals who will only use them where it is "allowed." I am not knocking following the law. In fact I'll be the first to say if this law passes I will be carrying a 10 round mag.

If you are shooting that much and are consuming that many mags I am jealous of you. I have about 10 mags per platform. I'm comfortable with that. If I need more I know where to source them.

I'm going to use my property as I see fit. For EDC I'll use 10 rounders.

I was getting $60 a piece for them after sandy hook, and selling some of my crappiest Remington .22lr bricks for the same. Selling extra 22 bricks and those pmags paid for a new HVAC system for my house At the time

I was looking through the NWFA classifieds at magazines and there are tons available, many at reasonable prices. I would think with a mag ban potentially imminent that they would all be getting scooped up.

Has everybody got their fill of magazines. If not what are you waiting on before you start your mag shopping?

You're not far off with that pile of mags at the recycler I presume.
There are pics and vids of the Australians dumping truckloads of beautiful semi auto rifles and shotguns, circa about 1997 at the gun cruncher machine.

For what I currently own, I'm fairly stocked up now, (Beyond what I can use in a lifetime).
It's just gluttonous at this point (for me). Which is good, I'm actually content with what I have for the firearms I own.. which is shocking, never thought I'd be at that point.

I still need steel FAL and mp5 mags though.. but I don't own those firearms yet, so I'm holding off.
I am toying with the idea of those 9mm exo mags (like endo but the built in version). I think I need about 6 of them..

Well shoot.. after writing this I've came to the conclusion that I'm not at all done buying mags.

You have been around long enough you should know what's going to happen. Many are set for life. A HELL OF A LOT of people are not. They will wait till after the laws change. Then for the next year or better they will tell all how angry they are that no one stopped this

I've always enjoyed buying mags on sale even when I didn't need them. They added up over the years.

Soooo....way back when, I was able to mod a Bulgarian 5.56 mag to work in my .233 Mak90.
If you pull the follower, heat it up with a heat gun, and bend the front of the folllower up, you can get the rounds to present a little higher and feed.
Better option may be a bullet guide, but, you'd be permantly altering the gun. Which I get you might not wanna do. Bulgarian and Polish mags will fit the gun and the Polish ones are relatively cheap ( look at the AC Unity also for stupid cheap ones to modify)
