I was looking through the NWFA classifieds at magazines and there are tons available, many at reasonable prices. I would think with a mag ban potentially imminent that they would all be getting scooped up.

Has everybody got their fill of magazines. If not what are you waiting on before you start your mag shopping?

Speaking of mag shopping, does anybody know which company's logo this is?

I am tired & fatigued of the legislation dictating how and when I buy firearms and firearm related items.
My shooting hobby has become more of an uphill legal battle, than a passionate sport.
It has also become a financial & mental inconvenience. Trying to time the purchase of items before statutory deadlines kick in.
And then, what about my unsold inventory I want to rotate out of? - Time is running out.
I also own properties in Oregon as well as Washington, so it's twice the effort keeping up with the law!
All of this BS is a real CF!

Just because something is a good deal out there doesn't mean there's someone able or willing to take advantage of it. Folks who were paying attention when legislation was in the pipeline and took action then to stockpile are generally set. Folks who didn't and are scrambling to purchase at the last minute have finite resources to spread around. And buyer fatigue is real.

Sportsman's in Bend was pretty well stocked with just about everything except Glock mags. Not a one.

I was wanting one for my PCC but I'll have to check with them another time.

I bought 10 round magazines when Washington State legislature started talking about limiting to the number of rounds to 10. The bill that became law stated that you could keep your standard capacity magazines if you owned them before the law took effect. So my 10 round magazines I use at the gun range now.

Could be that some are worried that standard capacity mags will not be "grandfathered" in ?
Do not want to start a baseless rumor but it's a thought process that will happen with some when mag restriction laws are looming.

I know this is heresy, but somehow we've learned to live our lives since that ban went into effect.

I could see that. People are trying to offload Maxine's because they are under the assumption that it will be a crime to have them. And want to sell them now before it will be "illegal" to do so.

Dumb in my opinion but also understandable.

As you may have seen, I have been posting and selling a number of mags that I overstocked on. Have met a ton of really good members on this forum. It has been an interesting mix of people- some people just looking for those last few mags and appreciating a deal.

However, I have noticed a LOT of the people I have met are either pretty young, or just really getting into the hobby. It is awesome to see all the new people getting into the sport, love to see it!

I have also seen that many members are having to prioritize bills over mags. Which they absolutely should do. However I do feel for those without much disposable income, as they arent able to make many purchases before any potential deadline.

That is one of the reasons why M114 IMO discriminates against lower income population, or those just starting their career and struggling to make ends meet. I feel for people in that situation, and have even given some of them extra mags or a really good deal, just to help out. Have made what could be some lifetime friends because of it. And all walks of life and cultures- different ethnicities- it has been really cool to see! Everyone paints us "gun nuts" as a bunch of racist white people, but if they could see my PM inbox, they would know otherwise!!

What I find funny -

The same people who are stock piling mags (due to unconstitutional laws) are the same individuals who will only use them where it is "allowed." I am not knocking following the law. In fact I'll be the first to say if this law passes I will be carrying a 10 round mag.

If you are shooting that much and are consuming that many mags I am jealous of you. I have about 10 mags per platform. I'm comfortable with that. If I need more I know where to source them.

Some that I have seen are way overpriced and can order them new for the same price or less. If someone really wants to sell them they should be priced accordingly otherwise it would be a hard pass.

Is everbody mag'd out already?
Yes and then some. I've never felt any real concern about our firearms purchases because we live well below our means, live debt free, and save for the family's future. However, magazines I will admit we went a little gonzo over the years.

Why? I remember the AWB94 years and magazine are, generally, inexpensive, and we keep the number of types pretty low. I was also sure the anti-freedom mouth-breathers would eventually get a mag ban in place again, either at the federal or state level. And here we are. So, we were prepared, though I think we overshot it a bit. Not the end of the world: most will get use and those that don't we can sell off once we've hit the escape pods to a free state, which isn't far off.
