Yup.

Similar weight too, likely.

Better ballistics with the 5.56, even out of a short barrel.

My point being, not much I can see in benefits of a 10mm PCC compared with a rifle caliber SBR/braced pistol.
This is what it boils down to for me, I'll take 5.56 every time. A PCC for me is more like a Marlin Trapper in .44 mag. That will stomp on a 10mm too

True, but unless your packing a Desert Eagle, your probably not having a compact handgun in 5.56.

10mm can have good power and round count in a fairly small handgun (compared to somthing in 5.56 or 44mag) and get a little extra energy/accuracy in a PCC while having less expensive ammo compared to the 44mag.

If I was up against a big cat or a bear I would take 10mm over 5.56. Especially with good projectiles.

My Stribog 9mm is only 1.5" smaller than my 5.56 brn-180 (10.5" barrel) when both have their stocks folded. And muzzle brake on BRN -180 probably adds 1-1.5" so nearly identical size without brake.

Stocks on short barrels, so Short Barrel Rifles not handguns...

PCC usually for pistol calibers in more of a rifle configuration so you can use the same ammo and sometimes the same mags in both platforms...

Id be curious to see if there is a 5.56 version of a handgun about the size of a Glock40 10mm.

Great point!

(Have 3 glock 9mm mag PCC's & 1 scorpion/stribog magged PCC - carbines & attached braced pistols)

Mind, I'm not discounting a 10mm PCC if anyone wants one. No one needs any reason / justification.

I just don't see any point myself. Other than being neat-O!

9mm is pretty darned neat-O! Even more fun in a PCC too. 10mm is pretty fun in a handgun, so probably would be even more so in a PCC!!

Fun enough to spend on? No, not IMO. Simply.

Everyone's different, so there's that. As it should be.

A Stribog 10mm is not the size of a handgun like a Glock 40 so I don't know what you are talking about.

The grip would be too big for most people, 5.56 is how long compared to a 10 MM?

I like 10 MM, shoots flatter, further and more accurate for me. However I own long guns in 5.56, 7 MM Rem Mag, 30-30, 308, 9 MM, I have no need or desire for another PCC

Not interested in handguns that don't exist.

As others have stated, to me one of the main benefits of the PCC is the ability to share mags with a handgun. If I already have a pistol in 10mm, a mag-compatible PCC would be on my list. Short of an iconic platform like the MP5, UMP, etc, I wouldn't consider an option that uses proprietary mags. I also wouldn't jump into a random caliber without a good reason and a plan, but that's just me.

In the end, if it scratches that itch for you (and you can afford it), pull the trigger and enjoy yourself. Life's too short not to appreciate what puts a smile on our faces, even if it puts a dent in the wallet at the same time.

On a scale from 0-100 the value of sharing mags to me is 0. Not a factor at all to me and never even crossed my mind.

It's also not a random caliber. I have the p220 legion SAO and it's a fun gun. I like 10mm a lot.
