My thinking would be is the gun ITSELF worth it to you first and foremost, with the caliber being the next question.Opinions on whether a 10mm PCC is worth $1000?
The mags are a pain with the Stribog 10mm. 20 round only cuz they are copies of hk 10mm straight mags (it also accepts hk mags and k think one of those is 30 rounds but im not sure and hk brand would be too expensive anyway). I have 2.5 billion 9mm Stribog mags or something like that. They were $8.99 and I've never had an issue with them. But not excited about accumulating 20 rd mags that aren't that cheap.A 10mm PCC that shares mags with your pistol, sure. Just to get another carbine, less so, it isn't cheap to shoot, it doesn't have reduced recoil, it's not particularly powerful, you don't save weight and the mags aren't particularly plentiful.
Yup.Folks are critical of the 10mm because of cost. But they don't criticize 5.56.
Ball ammo for either is very close to the same price.
The benefit is I am making 1cm holes.Yup.
Similar weight too, likely.
Better ballistics with the 5.56, even out of a short barrel.
My point being, not much I can see in benefits of a 10mm PCC compared with a rifle caliber SBR/braced pistol.
