Installing new factory grips for a sig P226

I have an older P226 (2004?) that has fatter factory grips on it. The new p226 models come with thinner grips. I would like to install these new factory grips on my p226 because they fit my hand much better.

If anyone has any experience doing this do you have any advice? Is it difficult? I think it is a little more involved then just getting the new grips and screwing them on the frame. I have read that some parts need to be replaced but I am not sure?

Contact JC weaponry. He's a sponsor on here and quite knowledgeable on their various offerings. He can probably get the E2 grips you're looking for.

Go to Topgunsupply, or midway and look for an E2 grip kit. Should come with the grips, and the other misc parts you need.
