Here's what went down at the Klamath Chapter-OHA cleanup, SW of Klamath Falls, OR last weekend...

There were 45 volunteers and we dispersed to several locations in the local forest areas of Keno Oregon. Had a hell-of-a-lot of fun! Great people, good deeds and memorable good times!

July 13th!!! A big one on a gorgeous piece of USFS land in South Central Oregon! I can't believe they're shooting across those dry lake beds! No Backstops! See the video!

This event offers good examples of what is a good place to shoot and what a bad place is. If nothing else, I hope that message gets through to those who don't have a clue!

I was able to muster up a lot of good help from business and organizations in the Klamath area. We got a tow truck, tire recycling, FourRunners club and more. A few minor details to be ironed out, but we have all the info we need to start promoting it. Gonna be fun!

You, and all, are welcome! But it's hard to receive 'Thanks' when you're having fun doing something you like to do! It's recreation to me! (Yeah, I'm sick. I know,)

Here's the same cleanup from a different perspective. Jon & Kristy Dykes, of WA Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, made this video.

A few pics from the Hagelstein Recreation Restoration cleanup project July 13th, in Klamath Falls OR.

If you were there and have photos, please post them! I was stuck at base camp, playing 'Camp Jack', and didn't get to go photo any of the volunteers at each site, so I'd love to see those pics!

We had 30 volunteers, +10 staff, who worked their buns off in 90+ degree temps for the morning hours on Saturday. They cleaned up all 5 areas we had planned on! That was some big time hustle by everyone! I thought we needed at least 50, but the 30 we had really outdid themselves!

You guys & gals filled up a 30 cubic yard dumpster! And it was compacted along the way! You removed over 25 tires! There is also a big pile of metal to go to recycling. And you all did it with a big smile!

Special KUDO's goes out to JunkIt LLC., Nick Worrall, FourRunners KlamathFalls, Daren Krag, Tanner Krag, Ryan Hogge, Ryan Davis, Klamath County & Klamath County CERT, U.S. Forest Service - Fremont-Winema National Forest Klamath Ranger District, Ellen Schade Videographer/Editor, Triple J Deli, Arrowhead Towing & Recovery, Power Pac Rental & Sales Klamath Falls, Les Schwab Tire Center Washburn Way, Smith Girls Cleaning Service LLC, FourRunners KlamathFalls, Signvertise, Brevada Brewhouse, J & R Canopy and Truck Accessories, Klamath Chapter- Oregon Hunter's Association, Terry's Donuts, Sierra Natural Cleaning Co, and all the wonderful volunteers!

From here, please help keep it this way! Check on the conditions when you can and pick up what you see. We can keep it this way for a long time if we each do 'Random Acts Of Cleanups'!

So, show those pics!

Thanks,
Bill

Tracy and I spent some time up Marys Peak today after not making it up there since early May. Al S let us know about a homeless dump up 1 of the side roads so we went and picked it up. 44.47140, -123.51334. Filled a lot of bags. Decided to go check out the gravel pad down the 3000 line and it was pretty messy also. A lot of bigger stuff but not that heavy. I got a little carried away and brought my leaf rake. The 2 areas are pretty darn clean now. Only 1 person on a motor cycle once we got off the pavement.
Going to get Neal Creek next weekend.

I copied that link to the TNL FB page and they immediately took it down! So, I posted a new post with pics of their take-down and added the link in the Comments section. So far, it's still there.

Excellent! But obviously not going to fly in the democrap controlled Hell-Hole of seattle.
True, but they gotta hear from us, or else they will think they're doing just fine. The rest of the world is speaking out on this. See all the comments on the video!

Lars Larson may be talking about this on Monday, about 12:30. I'll be working, so may not be able to call in. Hoping Dan Mitchell, of Sporting Systems can chime in. We should hear a lot of interesting calls!

That was a really bizarre news story, and other than the trash, I cannot help but to believe it was roughly scripted and staged.

For starters, with all the tables, guns & stuff laying around where were all the people? Other that the pic of the guy from the waist down where was everybody else?

I have never been shooting with anyone who just lays stuff all over, guns thrown in piles etc.

Bear gun? .50 caliber? 'deadly weapons scattered across these camp tables', 'sniper type material that swat teams use', 'this is military grade and that tells me they are practicing for some ungodly reason' And what did the reporter in mean when she said 'domestic violence' 'running gun battles' and what did this have to do with the shooting area?

And the guy on the quad, he said he found a gun 'up here', ammo, a back pack, RANGEFINDERS'?

How interesting the sheriff mentions earlier 'SWAT TEAMS' , 'ungodly reasons' and the quad idiot mentions RANGEFINDERS? see any 'connection' with that?

And last but not least, the sheriff says ' they outgun me every day of the week' - is he in a confrontation with them every day?

Like I said, other than the trash (which is a different issue) I cannot help but to believe this was all staged, with a VERY obvious anti-gun overtone.....

I haven't seen the video from the news.

And it's a real shame the sheriff seems to be on the side of the media. :( I have been under the impression that county sheriff's are general pro public land recreation.

May not be able to watch much of it, but do you have a quick link?

Definitely a prearranged agenda. He even printed out reports to have ready for the interview.

Good to hear from you!
