Annnd This Guy:
A representative for legendary filmmaker Wes Craven, creator of dozens of films including Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street, has confirmed that he passed away following a battle with brain cancer. He was 76.
Born in Ohio, Craven earned an undergraduate degree in English and Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois and a master's degree in Philosophy and Writing from Johns Hopkins University. He became one of the most prominent voices in horror, with a public persona to rival even his own professional accomplishments, and was sometimes compared to the similarly-charismatic Stan Lee.
Some of his other films include The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, The Serpent and the Rainbow, The People Under the Stairs, Vampire in Brooklyn, Cursed, Red Eye and My Soul to Take. From a comic book perspective, he helmed 1982's Swamp Thing with Adrienne Barbeau and Ray Wise.
Craven's official website has been crashed since news of his death started to ripple through social media, but his passing was confirmed by his official Twitter account:
Craven's last film project as a director was 2011's Scream 4. He would often make cameos in not only his own films, but sometimes those of other filmmakers (like Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). His final on-screen appearance was in an episode of ABC's Castle in 2013.
In the 2005 documentary film Inside Deep Throat, Craven said that he worked on a number of adult films, including Deep Throat, over the course of his very early career.
In 2013, Liquid Comics released Coming of Rage, a graphic novel written by Craven with 30 Days of Night's Steve Niles. It's currently available digitally on Amazon.
Craven's Scream is currently a hit series on MTV; he was originally slated to direct the pilot, but withdrew.

I'm interested to know; how would a major earthquake be different than a zombie apocalypse? o_O
I don't really think there will be a big difference.Once you take the EBT? cards away and the 'meals on wheels' that my neighbor gets, those folks will be as bad as zombies.
They will be walking around with zombie looks in their eyes, they will all be hungry cause they don't know where to get food....since they already ett everything at wally world....they will, essentially be zombies

A lot of obama supporters. When the cards stop they will have their hand out to anyone who has prepared past the first of the month.

Now.... Now....

Don't take your eye off the ball!;)

I never understood why he dressed in lace and velour, unless it was to tell the audience he
had an "intellectual side". or what passes for one in Hollywood. At any rate, Chuck has my respect and I'll raise a glass to his memory!

These posts are why I know that whether inside or outside the asylum I am with the PPL I was meant to be with, that I was put here at this time in history, for a reason

Speaking of trees, so far I removed 25 trees that had any ability to hit the house sadly 2 years ago a 125ft cotton wood the last to go dropped a 70ft 2ft around branch or should say log. I own a 1950 stick built house barely even cracked a joist which I fixed. Point was being I owned the land the trees were on I removed anything that could fall. I have large trees near the house but they are only 35 and I keep then that way rest next get over 20ft. Seen to many around here lose a house due to tall trees. I love trees, but I like my house better. I do the same with most things, ammo, fuel, etc to have enough for the " Justin Case" situations. Try and keep a spares and backup and even backup backups. But do not consider myself a prepper. I think I am more a realist seen allot of stuff go down in the last 50+ years to know
thinking ahead does work. By the way sorry to hear anyone who lost a home to trees that really sucks.

Same here Stomper, although I'm not waiting till next spring.

How many of you live in a community that requires tree removal permits? Or a community that flat out won't let you cut them...i.e. Lake Oswego?

My A/O is on the boarder of the 90/110 MPH Wind Zone in the building code for roofing and sheer panels; we had a 70+ in 2008 that took down 20+ fir trees.

That was 9 days without electricity.

ST Michael (Patron Saint of Paratroopers) grabbed one 50-foot tree that was falling, and gently set it on our roof.

So I started a project to remove all conifers (out to hand grenade range) on our South flank, and plant deciduous trees (fruit & nut).

The logs paid for the 6.5K LB winch I bought for the tractor :D.

National Welcoming Week part of PR campaign to soften public up for 65,000 Syrians
Posted by Ann Corcoran on September 4, 2015

I don't think it is any coincidence that community organizers at Welcoming America have chosen mid September to put on "welcoming" events across the country. They know that this is the month when Obama will tell Congress how many refugees will be admitted in FY2016 which begins October 1st.

In his book describing the agenda to erase America, James Simpson goes into greater detail about the insidious community organizers at 'Welcoming America.'

As we have been writing ad nauseum over the last few days, the federal contractors and 14 US Senators (we call them the Senate Jihad Caucus!) want an emergency plan from Obama to open our normal refugee flow of 70,000 (all nationalities) and add another 65,000 Syrians nearly doubling our usual refugee admissions for the year.

You better check out this public relations plan, here at Welcoming America (hat tip: Dick).
Find an event near you during Welcoming Week. Maybe you will find a way to counter the impact—perhaps letters to the editor in your local paper about the strain of bringing in over 100,000 impoverished and culturally diverse people will have on your local communities.

Welcoming America says,

During the week of September 12-20, 2015, Welcoming America and its partners across the country will host National Welcoming Week, a nationwide event that will highlight the contributions of immigrants to American communities. Throughout the country, these events will bring together immigrants and U.S.-born community members in a spirit of unity.

This is all part of Obama's plan to change America by colonizing your towns and cities with third world immigrants.

I first learned about Welcoming America in June of 2013. Originally funded with start-up money from one of George Soros many groups, they also receive grant money from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (from you that is!). We were told at that meeting in Lancaster, PA that Welcoming America had been hired by the feds to try to push back against growing "pockets of resistance" (their words!) where citizens were beginning to question the wisdom of bringing more poverty to America.

James Simpson in his book, 'Red-Green Axis—Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to erase America', goes into greater detail about the players and the funders involved with Welcoming America.

(BTW FY 2016 starts in less than a month so, in theory 65,000 Syrians could arrive in as little as 90 days, with more following in the actual year of 2016. There could be 200,000, mostly young male Syrians in the US before the next election)
