    Wow, bad news for everyone, everywhere! Especially reading down to the world wide food price jump as predicted by RoboBank! When WE eat outdated food it will be food that has been stored in our cool, dry conditions. Need to get more rice and grains!

    It's not the food per se, it's the precedent. Most expired packaged food is fine, if it's been stored reasonably well. The scary thing is that they're establishing a second-tier citizenship, inside their own country.

    It's bad enough that open, damaged, and nonsterile medical supplies have been routinely shipped to African countries for years, all in the name of helping the poor. Now the "haves" will only have to ship their castoffs across the street to rescue those poor unfortunate "have-nots."

    Maybe in the future the SNAP cards will only be good for buying GMO, highly processed, or expired "food," like Monster Energy Drink.
