Hunting in Late September

Hey all,

I've got a couple weeks off at the end of the month, and would like to take a 1-2 day hunting trip. I'm pretty much interested in birds and/or really anything I can hunt with a 17 HMR or 12 gauge (coyotes, varmint, etc.). I've only ever been sage rat hunting before, so I'd prefer to go with a guide of some kind this time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could pull this off, where/what to hunt, guides to contact, etc.?

You could go grouse hunting. With a 17 make sure you hit them in the head. Just drive around in the high country and look for elderberry
