I was just looking online at Bass Pro. I usually buy ammo there when I can't find a smoking deal elsewhere. I couldn't believe how many of my usual pics were gone. 22LR was nearly wiped out. No Aguila at all. CCI mini Mags were cheaper than just about anything that was left. All of the usual Federal and CCI varieties were gone.

Not much in the way of Federal in .45 and .40.

No PMC or Federal in.556, other than Federal Black.

I did get some M855 Winchester. I did get some Hornaday and Winchester 12 gauge. I did get some Winchester 165gr 40. The only other 40 was Federal Syntec at nearly a buck a round vs 38 cents.

I didn't really stock up, just getting ahead of the curve for summer. I didn't even check 9mm. I got a few value packs of 38 special. Again Winchester.

Do you think that folks are panicking over Iran? I haven't seen my usual bulk super dealer at Lucky Gunner lately. If this I the sign of an upcoming shortage, I'm prepared, but the Fiocchi, Federal, CCI, Remington ammos were all basically non present. Winchester in abundance though.

Sunset firearms in Wilsonville is well stocked with firearms.

I just placed an order today from Lucky Gunner. No 45ACP Ball that wasn't remanufactured or over a buck a round. I did get a couple of boxes of Winchester Ranger T series for 25 bucks each box of 50 for my 40's.

I also go some 357 and some 12 gauge 00 buck and some waterfowl loads. Not much just 50 rounds of each. I also found some aguila 22 short for my wife's Anshutz target rifle. I probably should have bought more. It was $9.00 for ro rounds. I bought 500. That should be a good start.

Cabela's had Winchester 9mm NATO, but I didn't want to pay 15 bucks per 50 rounds for it. I will wait until I find a deal on 1000 rounds of that. Last time I bought it it was 11 dollars for 50 rounds. 500 rounds to a case and I bought three. I have 500 rounds each of Win and MaxTech and another 1K of Blazer brass. So that will get me through to the next election, assuming I make it out to shoot.

I bought a couple boxes of .38 special. Don't need much of that. It hardly gets used. And I have a couple hundred rounds of PMC that have been sitting in the safe for a couple of years that were gifted to me.

I am set on 22 LR and 22 Mag. I am set on 45ACP. I am set on defensive rounds for all calibers that I have.

a year and a half ago Lucky Gunner had CorBon and Underwood +P on special. The Underwood was 13 bucks a box and I bought their remaining two cases.

If any of you are looking for defensive ammo, Lucky has 50 round boxes of HST in 45ACP for 31 bucks and 9mm for 25. +P and Standard.

I was at the Washougal Bimart on 3/28/26 and 5.56 looked pretty wiped out. There was some 223 Rem, but that was it. There was a little target 9mm but not a lot. I bought the last of the 7.62x39.

It's the usual social media "ammo shortage" cycle. Social media says there is a shortage coming, and people buy more, thus causing some sort of short term shortage. Whether it spirals into more, who knows?
