Lol my brother has a few 1000rnds of old .223 he's not using so I figure I'll train with that first, have 100s of hours of muscle memory on aiming but not so much with post-recoil follow up or the physiological impact of loud noises so I need to inoculate.

look at Wolf Creek, im also in hillsboro its about 25 mins from fairgrounds to wolf creek. 4 nice lanes
