Ds will just keep nibbling at gun rights until they're gone. They complain about school shootings but will not allow measures to be used in schools that would actually stop the shootings, or at least end them sooner.

They'll be ready next time they are in power - there will be another ban. In the mean time, they'll infringe on gun rights in each state. Only way to stop it is if the Supreme Court declares their bull crap unconstitutional; and that will only hold until they appoint a new, liberal court.

Banning the ownership of previously legally purchased and owned property, whether it be firearms or anything else, will always be unConstitutional. Banning the production and distribution of certain firearms is likely where they'll succeed if at all. We'll see the same thing we saw in the Clinton administration which was when school shootings started taking foot.
