About 0.3" thick.

I recently got one of those cheap metal thin RFID things with a lever on it to popup my ID/CC/etc.

The popup works, but it doesn't retain the cards very well - some fall out if I turn it upside down - especially the metal CC.

I previously had a similar leather thing with a pull tab, but it was hard to get any card out, so I thought I would try this one. Thinking about going back to the leather one - I don't want to lose my CC.

I started using one like this and it's been great. RFID blocking and thin. No more lower back and leg pain.

It's made by Code 118.

The last 25 ish years I've gravitated to Thailand Sting Ray billfolds . Tough outer shell & leather interior . Current one has coin pouch so overall it is 1.5 inches wide . Sits in the back pocket except for when in crowds or working under the vehicles then resides in the front . Slightly bends over time but is a 15 year wallet . Inside will wear down with outer never showing wear . :)

I've worked with people before who carried extremely fat wallets, typically from numerous credit cards (and no money).
I worked with a guy that had the fattest wallet I had ever seen. He would have to remove it from his back pocket and set it on his desk before sitting down.

I've taken the opposite direction of going completely minimalist.

One inch. Tri-fold Cordura. The center clear picture/card holders are falling apart - I don't know where to find replacements that will fit and are made well. With 14 cards/ID/etc., the minimalist ones won't do the job. And getting prescriptions filled require scanning the back of the driver's license so a windowed wallet doesn't do me any good. But at least I don't need to get my cell phone out to buy things.

Has Velcro closure. Makes it a good Scottish wallet - it screams when you open it. 20+ years old from Petaluma.

Oh, left back pocket, always. No medical consequences, but then, I'm only 23 (with a half century of practice so I'm getting pretty good at it).

I cannot stand not having my wallet on me....setting it down would get it lost quickly. I have tried leaving it in the door pocket of the truck but always forget it there and I'm afraid some low life will grab it while I'm fueling the truck at the truck stop.

My FIl had the Costanza wallet and always carried it in his shirt pocket....thing was huge.

I used to carry so many business cards and cash that a regular wallet was needed. This all started before smart phones when you needed all the cards. When I had my own business on the side I used to carry lots of cash. My regular work took me places where I would find used equipment and cash was king. I would buy these things on the spot with cash and got a lot of great deals. The fat wallet was your lifeline just like the cell phone is today. It held all your phone numbers, contacts, cash, cards, ID, and every secret you needed to keep.

Up until last year my wallet was still my biggest source of information I carried. Last year I retired and started driving truck again and the cell phone is king now....all my dispatches, time cards, log books, pay checks, any bills of lading, photos of loads, maps to places, everything is done on my cell phone. The only thing in my wallet from work is my credit card to buy fuel and truck things, everything else uses the phone.

I do know before I retired from law enforcement that the Mexican Drivers licenses could be on their phone. I'm sure more are accepted by now. I can see where a cell phone could completely take the place of anything a wallet could ever do for you.

I've had my wallet stolen twice while it wasn't on my person. It no longer leaves my pocket, even at the gym. Paranoia is a learned behavior it seems

Less than half an inch

Front pocket. Due to back issues nothing goes in my back pockets.

ID
2 CCW
Costco card
Debit card
Credit card

If going to a concert/metal detector the wallet gets a bit thicker due to an additional item. But that's not the daily.

Wallet people: Getchew a 'back pack'.

All the 'cool kids' are sashaying them around...

Drop all your money, DL, and any pocket lint down deep into the bowels of the BP...ya, cain't go wrong doin it thata way...

My formula for wallet thickness is pi r square.

How many people get a piece of your Pi.

r you dumb with money?

Does your money square up at the end of the month?

In my case a paperclip works just fine.

I have an ID, CCW, Credit card wrapped in a rubber band.
Ditto. I gave up on wallets a good while ago. All ID and cards, and folded bills held together by a rubber band or two, are carried in my right front pocket below my clipped knife. This bundle has never fallen out of my pocket, and is as minimilastic as possible, with no appreciable damage to the contents of the bundle. I think I came to this as a way to discourage pickpockets in my Mexican travels.

I really appreciate that some of my credit cards have colored edges, as it makes it much easier to pull them from the deck.
