I recently got me a Gamo .22 air rifle, that came with it's own, however cheap scope. The thing i did was mount the scope on the rifle backwards! This is what happens when you fail to read the manual. Last time i mounted a scope to a rifle was 30 years ago to a Ruger 10/22. I took this gun out to site it in at my parents house and for the life of me it would not zero in to the bullseye, no mater how many times i twisted the adjustments. I should of figured it out right a way but the view through the scope was supposedly normal, it was only after i let my brother try he said, you know you have your scope on backwards! what a dummie.
