Roland SpecialIt looks like a WML Surefire x300. Not sure about the pistol though. Almost looks like a long slide Glock or something with a comp.
Roland the Thompson gunner?Roland Special

Not David Lindell (or Warren Zevon) it was from Chuck Pressburg.Roland the Thompson gunner?![]()
You mean, Roland the headless Thompson gunner!Roland the Thompson gunner?![]()

Roland was a warriorYou mean, Roland the headless Thompson gunner!
It looks like a holster for a single action revolver, but with a heck of an ejector rod housing. Maybe for a small cap and ball revolver?
Not enough angle. This is a small of back (SOB) holster, isn't it?
Absolutely.Roland was a warrior
From the land of the midnight sun
With a Thompson gun for hire
Fighting to be done
The deal was made in Denmark
One dark and stormy day
So he set out for Biafra
To join the bloody fray
THAT Roland?
It looks just like a Browning SOB holster that I have. In fact, you guys ID'd it for me. And I'm getting old and gray waiting for one of our dear members here to pay for it following sale. Not enough angle.
They look nothing a like, note the position of the belt loops… the one in the OP has the loops on either side of the pistol, which is indicative of a OWB pancake style holster while the one you posted has a loop on the bottom side and at the mouth of the holster which trait of an SOB holster. Drawing a line connecting the top of the loops will indicate the position of the top of the belt on the waist line and illustrate the angle of the gun.It looks just like a Browning SOB holster that I have. This holster here, if worn as a RH OWB, the angle is way off for comfortable reach. And dangerously low for retention. Slanted too far forward. Impossible for LH. The only thing it makes sense for is SOB, where the low angle is still reachable with your right hand. A long reach, to be sure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

On a side note, SOB is the worst place on a belt the carry a pistol and I always discourage its use.
