The same could be said of formerly law abiding gun owners who refuse to comply?

I mean; "in for a penny, in for a pound? "

If they're gonna felonize us over small potatoes like gun appearances and mag capacities, go big?
I think thats a totally different situation. The individual has everything to lose if everyone else isnt gonna revolt with them.

Maybe. Maybe not.
Talk is cheap, actions speak.

I suspect those who openly talk about 'not complying' would be the first to curl up like worms if they were to even 'come close' to a non - compliance confrontation with LEO.
It depends. I'm thinking more of those who have left the forum, and those who are not active on forum, and those who never joined the forum, and stayed underground. How many gun owners have you met that had complete ignorance of the current laws?

Now think about those gun owners that just.... Don't care?

Way more than Ive met who know the laws.
The problem with "shall not comply" is you'll be the only one sitting in jail and/or having lost all your gun rights if you get caught not complying. No 2A supporter in Oregon is going to come break you out let alone bail you out.

That already happens for everything else  thanks to GCA 1968's Prohibited Persons Class.

Once the window licking stops, you'll realize the snozzberries really did taste like snozzberries

Maybe they are thinking that it will reduce suicides by firearm or deter/delay shootings by new firearm purchasers?

If it's a real hassle to acquire a firearm a person may choose to walk in front of MAX train instead.
So the reasoning, as I understand it, is this. If I shoot myself in the head with a Beretta with a 10 round mag, I am less dead, or may even survive. Unlike if I were to use the 15 round, standard capacity mag, I am more dead, and couldn't survive.

Makes sense. I might need to do a mag dump on my temple, because one shot from a 9MM may not get the job done.

9mm is made to blow out lungs not temples

The .45 was invented to compensate for poor marksmanship. Bigger bullet more gooderer

Lots. However not only have I met but currently know as well.

The problems is a LOT of gun owners are not active shooters, maybe once were and not so much anymore, maybe even reloaded and not anymore as well.

Along with this is many of them are not particularly active on social media, watch much news or keep up with current issues and unless they just happen to 'hear' about new gun laws they are largely in part unaware of them.

Another problem is it seems new gun law information is NOT actively posted in the news and this is probably intentional to keep it as minimally public as well.

OTOH WE , as members of forums such as this will mostly never remain unaware of ANY new gun law a they are 'thrust' upon us. Someone can always be counted on to post about anything new that comes up, and oftentimes so much info is posted and discusses it becomes a bit confusing and convoluted but the fact remains WE are pretty up to date on the current issues.

"If you suddenly get so mad that you grab your gun and run out into the street and you're the only one out there; it isn't time."

So... What's stopping YOU from educating and spreading the news about the gun laws and bills in Oregon Legislature sessions to these gun owners? I do my best to the best of my abilities and it helps. Some are just... Apathetic and basically gave up on voting. But for every ignorant gun owner that gets educated and involved in voting, there seem to be 5-10 more that needs it.

Nothing!

Like you I do my best to get the word out on anything new to those I know who might otherwise remain unaware.

I get a lot of appreciative feedback from those who were unaware as well!

Yep. as a former californian. This is all about killing the culture. I didnt even think firearm ownership was something worth dealing with when I lived in California. When I bought my first firearm in Oregon, before all this BS, my eyes opened wide about how all this works.
Hell, I grew up in California and learned about guns at SUMMER CAMP!!!! They taught us gun safety and how to properly shoot a .22LR at SUMMER CAMP. This was in the mid-70s. So sad what CA has become and other woke states have become. Glad I have just about everything I need already. These new laws are ridiculous and make no sense, but the sheep here don't know any better.

I found this interesting and almost looks like it is being implemented one by one ,

These are the eight levels of controls by Saul Alinsky to transform a nation through socialism into communism.

1. Healthcare – control healthcare and you control the people.

2. Poverty – Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you provide everything for them to live.

3. Debt – Increase the debt level to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.

4. Gun control – Remove the ability to defend themselves from government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5. Welfare – Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.

6. Education – Take control of what people read and listen to and take control or what children learn in school.

7. Religion – Remove belief in God from the government and schools because the people need to believe in only the government knowing what is best for the people.

8. Class warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class.

This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor.

It should be clear to all how our nation is well on its way to winning its race to the bottom.

Is it our public servants in both political parties who are constitution-despising oath breakers?

Or, we the people who vote and revote them in office to sell us out?

People cant even move into Wa with them, that they own legally elsewhere. If the Wa is allowed to stand, they will make the grandfathered ones illegal to pass down.
The neon sign is light bright and many people still do not see it coming.
Washington doesn't have registration, so there is no way for them to prevent determined folks from bringing them in without the Govs permission. Technically speaking, ...they screwed up. Put the Cart before the horse, ECT.
Exploit their stupidity if you must locate to Washington state.
