Just wifey and I. No family anymore besides Jane. None that will talk to THE "Black Sheep" anyway. Tradition dictates that I make the smallest/cheapest frozen turkey (11.7lbs) I can find. All I really eat of it is the neck and giblets. Mashed potatoes w/pan drippings/no gravy. And an acorn squash, split, baked with salt, pepper, butter and brown sugar. Fruit. NOW, the best of Thanks Giving, left-over turkey sandwiches, with sprouts. Wifey likes her left-over turkey on rolls with sprouts, cream cheese and cranberry sauce.

Thankfully, DONE for another year!
We got two hearts in our turkey!!!!

I thought I was off the hook... Bummer of all the places I have to go Portland... Where the crazy Portland Dwarves are.
I might need to disguise myself to stay low profile. :s0119:

To all my NWFA Brethren, I wish you a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving, may Dad's blessing be upon you and your loved ones. Remember all that we have to be thankful for as we partake of the days festivities.

Don't use turn signals. Go at least 5MPH under the speed limit, wait 5 seconds between going on a green light/going after the car in front of you goes. Do not use mirrors. Make sure to use your phone, in that fancy holder or in your lap, with one hand doing the texting, glancing up only occasionally. No one will ever know your not from around here!
One more! Be sure to slam on the brakes to let pedestrians cross in front of you, even before they reach the curb.

Kinda sad, but true. A man that I have known as a friend and mentor was told one week ago that he had two weeks to live and they stopped his cancer treatments. I'd been thinking of thanking him for all of the help I have received from him in the last 40 years, but didn't want to "jinx" anything. (I'm only superstitious about my mouth)
I hadn't known his condition for two minutes before I did thank him. Since then my wife and I have visited once, and will do so again. I will always be thankful for the opportunity to let him know how I feel about him. As men we often don't express our feelings to other men and I will be eternally grateful that he knows my toughts.
I didn't get that opportunity with Dad and I didn't want to miss this one.

I am so thankful for that.
Always a great reminder to let those you care about know it.

Been with relatives in the house for Thanksgiving. A lot of food bazaar here. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to skip this specialty for lunch. 'La Bistro-Angiogram-Saute!
