So I was doing some searches on a weird Franken-gun built during the tumultuous events in Cuba back in the day. My recollection, which turned out to not be completely accurate, was that it was an M1 Carbine with a drum. (It was, in fact, largely based upon the Winchester .351 self-loader.)

Anywho, I noticed the periodical had some early coverage of the then new AR-15 line, and I know how popular they are, so figured I'd pass along: Guns magazine, October 1959.

Thanks for posting that!

I spent some time looking at it and the articles and it was nice to see a time when guns were portrayed in a predominantly more sporting, outdoor and hunting aspect than what we mostly see now.

Obviously a more sedate and 'civilized' time.
