Nineteen of 20 Newtown children are white.
Chicago children are mostly black.
The media is silent about Chicago violence.

The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country,
yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about
this from the corrupt state run media.
In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by
Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc.
62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so
far this year. So why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass
those anti-second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws?
Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities?
Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light?

The Media places a higher value on white deaths than black deaths. Chicago has a high rate of violent crime and shooting deaths in their city, but it rarely gets reported on the national level because the victims are black.

This also entirely blows the whole notion out of the water that gun control reduces shooting death, and increased ownership of firearms increases it. This nation is a melting pot, so violent crime is going to be higher than in Japan, where 98.5% of the country is native Japanese, where this country has broad swaths of the population from entirely different backgrounds across the entire world.

Chicago sucks, I live next to Illinois, their gun laws suck, even in baseball, the Cubs suck when put up against my St. Louis Cardinals. What I do in Missouri with my firearm, I go from law-abiding citizen to potentially dangerous felon in Illinois. I've pretty much written off the state from wanting to do anything with it. Oh and their DWI laws suck too, they have one of the strictest DWI laws as if the law thinks everyone who commits the offense is some kind of millionaire that is free for grabbing money out of their pockets. I think their alcohol laws on other levels suck too, as far as I know, in Missouri you can have an open container in your car so long as the driver wasn't drinking from it.

THe violent people in Chicago get their hands on guns regardless of the laws, if you go through my post history a chicago officer died because a criminal wrestled his gun away and shot him. Shortly after Obama's first inauguration, a teenager was beaten to death by large 2x4's in a gang war, people still find ways to kill even with gun control laws in place. Look at California, they have large street gangs and a bloated prison population with a lot of people in prison for 25-life despite all their attempts at gun control and limiting magazines to 10 rounds.

edit: Oh and their cigarette taxes suck too, my Missouri has the much lower cigarette taxes compared to Illinois *actually they are the lowest in the entire union short of duty-free*. Don't get me started on Illinois, just be glad you don't have to live next to the god-forsaken hell hole.

Just a couple of nights ago I actually heard some talking head say that the reason for the murders by gun in Chicago are because guns are available in other areas and surrounding states.

The gun grabbers in Illinois, really dislike us Missourians simply because Missouri takes a Laisazze-Faire approach to virtually any given issue. We are the exact polar opposite of Illinois, over here in Missouri, our Democrats in Missouri tend to be more conservative than the Republicans in Illinois.

There is a small town in Illinois in 1983 that banned all guns citywide. Kennesaw Georgia in response made it so everyone in their small town, the head of the household had to own atleast ONE gun. What happened was while the small town with a citywide ban on guns, their crime rate did not go down, Kennesaw Georgia has half the crime rate of the average US city, and furthermore the place where Kennesaw had a mass shooting with the deaths of 3 people some years ago, was in a school zone with a federal ban on firearms.

I don't see how black "leaders" are not up in arms over the current situation. Minorities teens and children are dying every day on the streets of crap cities like Chicago, NYC, etc., most of which have extremely strict gun laws but little to no mention about gun violence until a bunch of white kids get shot. To me, the politicians and media are as racist as they can get. Wait until a bunch of white kids get killed before trying to do anything when there are 2 Sandy Hooks a month in Chicago worth of dead kids. Pretty gross.

The last thing "black leaders" like Sharpton and Jackson want is a majority of intact black families living in middle class suburban houses with white picket fences, green lawns and beautiful flower beds. Crime, poverty and overcrowding in black neighborhoods is crucial to their accumulation of more wealth, power and influence.

The biggest problem in this country is the judicial system. Until the system does something with the gangs nothing is going change. They won't prosecute them they won't put them away. True this will only help one part of the problem. Theirs still the nuts and the mad people. Those are the hard ones to get before they do something.

Couldn't agree with you more. The fact that it's "racist" to talk about the fact that one of the biggest problems effecting blacks in the inner-cities is the lack of fathers sticking around is crazy. NO ONE is willing to call it what it is. I think of it as racist not to talk about that being a problem. It obviously isn't just a race issue, but a lot of these shootings in places like Chicago involve minorities.
