I got a great find the other day from The greatest brother in-law this side of the Columbia. He gave me a vintage scope mount and scope that he had inherited through his Uncles estate. It is so far as I have dug, off of a Korean era Garand M1C sniper. Being the great guy I am I let my BROTHER in on the possible $ value to this vintage piece of history. Neither of us own a Garand CMP M1C so we have decided to sell and split the proceeds. The Griffen Howe mount looks the part and has the 7/8 rings. The scope is a B series serial # so that dates it to Korean era right? Where or who could we contact to get an appraisal/authenticity assurance from. We would greatly appreciate any leads or input on the matter. I have pics I can post if needed. Thanks and enjoy the Freedom.
