Great day on the water

Recently retired and been spending my new-found freedom reconnecting with old friends and doing what ** I ** want to do for a change…
Went salmon fishing with a bud, we both hooked into 9 lb hens.
Beautiful day on the water, and I'm now enjoying a Ginger Bourbon while I get the Blackstone ready to griddle up some fish for the fam.

Buddy already claimed the eggs…he has a cure/brine that he swears is irresistible.
Damn fish sure resisted it yesterday when we did a little spincasting though

I'm a bit more handsome than that old goat but thanks for the sentiment…
I just use Borax and kosher salt, has worked for me the last 30+ years.
I just pulled out some frozen cured eggs from 2019 that are still useable, supple and oozes out very well.

I had a great day on the water over 2 years ago since moving from Texas. Had the opportunity to go salmon fishing for the first time. Good times.

A great but sad day on the water. Was tuna fishing off Port Aransas. I scored 2 Red Snapper and was able to save four (4) one pound chunks of tasty fish.
