The left tries to paint us as adolescents with "Rambo" fantasies. I can assure everyone that if my gun gets withdrawn from the holster, it is the last thing that I want to do and the last resort.

I have had to do it three times in my life. I truly believed in each instance that I, someone else, was going to lose their life if I didn't. And, as mentioned in the video, I never had to fire the shot.

One of the criminals even peed his pants the instant he was looking down the barrel of my 45. He ran off screaming, and was later arrested after I, and several witnesses called the police and gave them the information and the guy's license plate. Turned out he was a bad dude with warrants and was jacked up on drugs .

Normally I would retreat to a safe spot and call police. In those three instances, that wasn't possible. Our latest house bill is going to make it more difficult for good people to defend themselves and their families. I am concerned for those law abiding good guys that aren't already armed with a weapon and proper training.

My next door neighbor has a "Rambo" fantasy though. But, he isn't armed and has no training. I think he has seen too many movies. He told me he wanted to get a gun to intervene on our neighbor's DV situation.

I told him that was a bad idea and if he did it, he would likely spend the rest of his life in prison (at our ages, 20 years May as well be life). He had asked to borrow a gun. I told him no. His son in law, the armed protestor, can help him out if he needs it.

The neighbor wound up getting a can of bear spray. So now he can piss off the thugs even worse when he confronts them and gets his bubblegum beat. Great situational awareness. A tough guy indeed.
