I guess it depends on how much of a velocity whore you are.

Some get by with a mere 5".

I will buy one if I see one with a non cut slide. Or if I know a Gen 5 slide would work on a Gen 6 frame. But I'm not sure if it does or not. @TTSX when you get yours can you confirm for me? lol.

I have more Glocks than many people have guns in total. I have no self control whatsoever. In fact, I've already told my local FFL to put me on the list for a 19, too.

No, at least my Gen 5 47 slide doesn't fit my Gen 6 17 frame. The recoil spring gets in the way. If I remove it entirely, the slide will install 95% of the way then get stuck on a wall with no further rearward movement.

What if you swap recoil springs and back plates? Then does it work? Or are the back plates different like the "Gen V" nonsense.
