How did Gen 4 affect the Gen 3 market?

How did Gen 5 affect the Gen 4 market?

Gen 6 will likely affect the Gen 5 market in a similar way
Good question....
I don't know much about guns. I bought 2 custom glocks and I picked Gen 3 because there more arts in the slide...

Is she the owner of Glock?

Glock GmbH, the Austrian manufacturer of Glock pistols, was founded and owned by the late Gaston Glock, who passed away in December 2023, making the company a private entity passed down to his family, primarily his widow, Kathrin Glock, and his children. Gaston Glock remained the controlling force and majority owner until his death, running the company as a private, independent firm known for its polymer-framed handguns.

The pic above is Kathrin Glock.

Boy he really made a move on her... Or is it the other way? :s0064:

For anyone that gives a crap, the patent document reads in part the following:

"In particular, it can be provided that a grip surface on which a user holds the handgun is largely formed on the lower receiver portion. In this way, the exchangeable lower receiver portion can be adapted well to the corresponding user, in particular to the shape and size of his hand. As a result, the handling or the ergonomics of the handgun can be improved"

With respect to the "exchangeable" part the Gen 6 appears to be built on an upper/lower receiver concept, it won't use backstraps, but exchangeable lower receivers of different sizes.

This drawing shows the concept a bit better

Item 14 is described as the "Locking element" which seems to be the "joining" mechanism between the upper receiver and the lower receiver.

Is that a feature of the Gen 6? I haven't seen anything about that in all the reviews/specs….

Personally I think that would be pretty gimmicky but who knows.

I've seen the drawings and the patents. I just don't see it on anything that has been released in regards to the Gen6.

Either way it looks super gimmicky to me.
Just showing a more clear image of my original post. Still don't know or care. I'll reserve judgement on the gimmicky part until if/when they do it and the beta testers are done ringing them out.
