Just came into ownership of a Glock 42 and that grip is tiny! Ive never installed a magazine extension. But if Im going to keep the 42, I need to. There are several different magazine disassembly tools though and some look very different. Recommendation?

I don't remember using a special tool to disassemble the magazines; just used a small Phillips-head screwdriver to push in the button. A small punch would work too.

I tried that, using the standard glock tool to push the spring button down. Turns out though that there are these little gripprs on two sides. So, I have to squeeze the factory mag, push the button, and try to slide the plate. I ended up mangling the push button hole and the spring is now stuck inside. Maybe the design changed?

Anyhow, thanks for the reply though. :)
