Glock 19 length slides on sub compact frames

Sorry if I have asked this before but has anybody tried running G19 length slides on sub compact frame? Does it function? What do you do to cover exposed area of dust cover?

Functions fine. I had one for awhile. Lonewolf makes an adapter to cover the exposed recoil spring.

I carried a 26 for quite a while. Until Glock introduced the 48.

Chop the 19 frame to take 26 length mags.
If you do it smart, you can leave enough backstrap material for a better grip.

I find it more difficult to conceal the grip of the gun than the slide.

The Colt CCO was one of my favorite CCW guns due to the commander slide and officers grip. this G26/19 hybrid offers a similar configuration.

All you do is take the 26 sub-frame, and then run 'Magazine Sleeves' with Glock or Magpul 15 round mags. then you got a good full grip feel, with also the carry niceties of the sub compact slide .

I found some 80% poly80 sc frames for cheap and thought I might buy one or two but I don't own any 26/27 slides. I thought I could try it out with a G19 length slide.
