Found a film on Netflix that is pretty good and unusual: a Western set high in the Alps. It's in German with English subtitles. It's called The Dark Valley, and features a Mysterious Stranger, recently returned from America, who rides into a little town where he begins to take his revenge for a long ago wrong. The Krauts get their first taste of a Winchester and they don't like it much. This was Austria's entry for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars. Didn't win, but I view that as a plus...
Check it out if you like oddball Westerns or pissed off Germans.

It's kind of dark, but we enjoyed it. There's a scene (small spoiler...) where the two bad guys --armed with European double barrels-- who've never seen a lever action say "he's only got TWO shots, we've got FOUR...let's get him!"
Exhibit A of lack of firearms knowledge getting you in a pickle.
