I'm thinking of getting a left hand semi-auto12 ga mainly for sporting clays the two I'm attracted to are:

which is gas operated
and
which is recoil operated.
Is one better than the other for recoil reduction and reliability mainly with trap type loads?

I have a old Montefeltro that probably has 500000 rounds threw it and it still runs. It doesn't like the light loads now days but it's been ran threw the ringer. I love my sbe2, it has never let me down and will cycle the light loads all day long, even when it's dirty. We bought 10 berettas for a work project and they didn't hold up at all.
