super safeties are 3 position, so is the Super Selektor.

From my personal experience... semi auto speaking, a pcc buffer is usually a little longer to cram in more weight for the tungsten weights. the added length will also impede proper cycling on 556, as the case size allows for a shorter travel on pcc's. it's going to short cycle at best on 556. the added weight, being 2x more than traditional H2 buffer weight, unless you're running a super hot charge (dangerously) that 556 isn't going to cycle properly with 10oz's of buffer behind it unless you have a really weak spring.
Which then leads to why would you want to have all that reciprocating mass on something that should be a nice soft shooting rifle when properly tuned?
Seems if you have to be weighing down the gas system there would be a better place to start like adjustable gas block or adjustable gas key on the bolt.

The Atrius Super Selektor is a lever based FRS selector that can switch from normal Semi to Forced Reset.

The Rarebreed cassette is the same way.

The Hoffman style Super Safety is a push button type, so you can still set Safe, normal Semi, forced reset.

I think the majority, if not all of the forced reset triggers in the Rarebreed design and similar, are 3 way triggers in that there's a Safe, no reset Semiauto, and forced reset rapid semiauto

3 position Rare Breed FRT's are relatively rare. They exist but account for probably less than 5% of those in the field. Most are go fast and safe. They had just started to gain traction in the 3 position world when the ban hammer came down.

It passed the senate. First reading in the house is next Monday.

Nothing to stop it in the house unless there is a change of heart or the R's trade something big for it. However, the R's don't have any power at this point, so it's really up to Kotex if it gets all the way to third reading and passes.

Looking at that date again the last session day is July 29 + 91 days would be Oct. 28 as effective date. It's a given that Kotex will sign it.

My comment was more about the decision to have it get to the third reading. The number of yes votes are a given. We're naive if we think that the decisions about getting through the process aren't pre-determined.

But all the SS is, is a cut safety and lever. You then use a milspec that you have to modify which is any trigger you can buy in any gun store. Drop in FRT, conversely, is just the trigger. So they're selling two different but interacting parts of a system. It would be like an engine and transmission.
In any event I don't feel bad for Rarebreed or the actual patent holder if they lose on sales on a product they've never even brought to market themselves. It seems petty and in the end, I think they'll have their hands more than full trying to contain such widespread information from being produced. The 2A wants their hands on these things before they inevitably come after them (they'll never give up). A couple of things to note, they've also threatened individuals for printing for self use and threatened SS sellers over auxiliary items that weren't components of the SS itself. It's pretty wild the number of fronts the 2A community is fighting on and then they have their own to deal with as well.
