Per Ceasefire: The capitol building is open at 7:30 am. Please plan to arrive between 7am and 7:30 am as the line for entrance to the main hearing room will be very long. There will be several overflow rooms available with live audio and video feeds if you are unable to arrive early. Parking information is listed below.
If you are in line early enough, you may register to testify before the committee. The majority of those testifying will be members of invited panels (people who have been pre-selected by the committee to speak at the hearing). Please do not be disappointed if you do not have the opportunity to speak in front of the panel. Please DO submit written testimony in advance of the hearing. (see instructions below) so your testimony is entered into the record whether are not you are able to speak.

Identify yourself and provide the name of the community you live in.
Make a few key points about why is is important for you to see this bill fail and not be adopted. For example:
Ceasefire cites: Shut down growing internet gun marketplaces.
Close the loophole that makes it simple for criminals to get a gun.
Keep our law enforcement officers safer by slowing the trade of illegal guns;
Protect domestic abuse victims by preventing abusers from quickly obtaining guns.
Focus your statement only on SB 1551 (closing the private gun loophole).
