No. 82XX1 was entered in the Von Lengerke & Detmold inventory on June 4, 1925 with the following spec's: 12 gauge, 26 inch barrels, weight 6 pounds, 8 oz., Drop @ heel = 2 ½ in., Drop @ comb = 1 3/8 in., Length of pull 14 ¼ in., choked Mod & Full, Non-ejector (extractor
model), ½ pistol grip.
On Oct. 7 1925 the shotgun was sold to "W.R. Davenport". Blued
The buyer was William Rufus Davenport, born in Taunton, MA in May of 1884. He was a partner in the Spencer Task Co. in NYC. He died on 5/11/28. He was married to Alice Louise Demerest.
