For pistol greater than 26" in length, can you attach a vertical foreword grip?

Trying to understand the 26" (ie "concealable") thing. Let's say a person had a pistol 26.5" in length not counting the muzzle device or a brace (or folding adapter etc). Can a vertical forward grip be attached without a stamp?

Nobody knows? I thought this was a thing with AR pistols earlier. I'd rather not use an angled grip if I don't have.
