To the snob purists that turn their nose up at bait slingers,, you do know that they hook more fish per cast right?

Loomis 5 and Sage 4 for me, both in 9'

I don't like to admit that I fly fish because I despise pretentious people. The purist flea flicker only fishes dries. I'm not much for slow action rods and fine double tapered lines, even though I know they are great for presenting dry flies. I'm more of a fast action, weight-forward guy so I can turn over a good sized leach.

No love for Orvis gear? Back when I fished it was top rate equipment! Now I don't see it mentioned.

I run a sage 7'6" 3/4 weight. Tough to get it out to much of a distance but fun once i get one on. I second the Deschutes fly shop in Maupin, Great people there.

My brother landed 5 tuna on a fly last year, lost over 10 and broke 3 rods. I'm hoping to catch tuna on a fly this year!
