I'm looking for the "best" SD/HD .357 magnum ammo, to keep in my 686. Google leads me to Federal 125gr .357B load. Problem is, I can't find any. Help me find a box! Please!
I remember not that long ago that that was a scorned sleeper.. in 50 round boxes. The old LE classic.
I think the new Federals in the blue boxes is essentially the same.. but it's a 20rnd box.
Personally, I'd not worry about it. If you want a present day old fashioned ripper in a 50rd box, get the Winchester white box 110's (they come in 125's too but they aren't loaded as hot as Federal).. that's the same bullet LE used for decades in .38+p/+p+ and in the magnum.
I should talk.. I'm so lazy I've only got some Federal 158gr JSP's that are guaranteed to go clean through both shoulder blades of any deer. (common old school heavily constructed bullets.. pretty lame.. even for deer).
