"Complaints" like those in the article in the OP, only tend to strengthen my thoughts of :
Its okay when we do this...but its not okay if you do the same.
When it comes to how most Anti Gun concerns , operations , folks behind the scenes and such....think and do things.

If one truly wanted to curtail violence and keep folks safe...then one needs to look at why violence occurs...not at what is used to commit the violent act.
A violent act can be committed with anything...it is useless to ban or restrict objects...they will be used how they are used.
It would be far and away better to find ways of :
Understanding why violence happens...
Revamping our Justice System to promote a system of actual punishment and if possible to those who can be , rehabilitation...

And perhaps the biggest issue of all...Gun owners and guns are not the problem here...Criminals are the problem.
Just as when a poacher kills a animal unlawfully...he is not a hunter...he is a criminal...
The same is when a a person commits a crime with a gun...they are not gun owners...but criminals.

Go to the source of the problem...and stop looking at people who cause no harm with their firearms.
