    Are Enfields any good?How do they shoot?I have an opportunity to get one and would like to know what to watch for,All I know right now is that it is 308 cal.

    Well the enfield was originally manufactured in the .303 round, but many were later converted to .308.

    Were those British,or were the 308 converts the US 1917 Enfield?

    I don't know. I looked into picking up a .308 'field for quite a while, but I could never find one locally. I've since moved on...

    i have a p17 thats converted to springfield 3006, its one of the best shooting guns i have. you will love them.

    Their bolt action is kind of weird in that it cocks on closing. Takes a while to get used to. I had a No. 4 Mk 2. The ten round magazine is kind of cool.
