This is kinda NSFW. But the video stops before you see anything graphic.

In case you are unaware of the energy packed into one of these things. This was in China. My understanding is the dude ultimately died after being in the hospital for a month. Not sure if that's accurate though.

Makes you reconsider how you should go about charging and storing these things. They're a whole lot bigger than a cell phone or computer battery.

So good luck...and may the odds be ever in your favor!

How dare you!

Even the old school batteries can do you in; I threw some paper stuff cleaning out the pocket of my truck door into the fire while camping one year and unbeknownst to me was one AA battery in the mix. Take heed, when it says not to throw them in the fire. My back was turned when it exploded with the gusto and loudness of a cherry bomb while throwing an arm sized chunk of wood nearly four feet hitting the back of my leg. Sacred the bajeebies out of me! Took me a couple of minutes running around stamping out all the little cinders aflame here and there.

This is what happens when you do Chinese Sh!t!

One of the biggest issues is the way China builds these batteries, and it's utter lack of quality control, and no accountability unless and until some one dies!
It's been long known and understood that Li-Po batteries are highly dangerous and depending on how they are made, can be highly unstable!
With the YUGE push to electric power and the flooding of the market of cheap chinese made crap, these things are only going to keep happening more and more!

THis is ALSO a big black mark on U.S Marketing and production, our sh!t costs WAY WAY WAY too much for people to be willing to "Buy American" so China steps in to manufacture affordable sh!t for the American consumers! Unless and until things change here, ( Highly Unlikely) this will only continue to happen!

A (painful) alternative to the E Bike:

The best part is with the HUGE push for electric everything we are going to see a LOT more of this.
