What part of the state and what type of doves? The best advice I can give you in the wooded areas that I hunt is look for a pond with blackberry patches nearby. I have shot limits of mourning doves over the same pond of a while now usually an hour or two before dark. I don't hunt bandtails due to all the hoops you have to jump through to hunt them as well as the short season. Eurasain doves tend to frequent back yards eating out of bird feeders.

Western Washington side King, Snohomish and Peirce Counties. Eurasian and mourning doves my main target for hunting.
