If 1mm into a trigger was reduces 80% sear engagement on a gun without a trigger safety is that a safe duty/self defense gun?

I still think there is a flaw in the design. I just don't know if anyone has technically figured it out. But we get closer day by day.

The funny thing is the same people who go to the ends of the world to say it was X that made the gun go off (some of which are beyond possible) are same people that refuse to even acknowledge there may be a problem in certain guns. Not all guns. But a select few.

I think some instances were user error. The gun is competition style gun/trigger sold as a duty gun (which it is not) and is prone to be manipulated easily. Either by human error or other objects. But there are instances where I believe 100% that there was something mechanically wrong with the gun. And I don't think it's something you can recreate easily.

I have eyes. And I am not on my knees for SIG taking every word as gospel.
I'm sure some was user error, and some was completely out of the users control. Either way nobody else had these issues so why take the risk? The 320 doesn't put rounds down range any better than other guns so all I can think of at this point is brand loyalty, ego and/or ignorance.

Brand loyalty and financial investment. Don't forget pride.

That video you guys are all bent about, the one with the screw in the trigger! That guy has it right, he is only using that screw to show how little movement of the trigger it actually requires to release the trigger safety!

He also shows how the slop further puts things at risk, the fact he got it to fire several times was no trick, it's fact, it shows that the sear is the only thing holding it all back.

I have seen a 320 fire full auto in one test on a special shooting bench, once the trigger safety is disengaged, all that has to happen is for it to fire once, then the slide over runs the frame defeating the safety and she went full rock and roll! It also destroyed the pistol when that happened, if a person had been shooting when that happened, it would have done some pretty serious trauma to that hand!

I have seen Beretta 92's fail, seen Glock's fail, even seen 1911's fail, under the right conditions, they all can, but the SIG 320, the ratio of failures is way outside the norm, it's been well known, and now there is proof of it, and it can be repeated consistently enough to show there is a very serious flaw and that said pistol is absolutely unsafe to carry and shoot!

I dont think thats whats happening but Im out and cant rewatch the vids now.
IMO the test should not include any sear disengagement to be fair.

He specifically says in his video that he is "about 1mm" into the wall. Less than 1mm of sear movement.

There is another video he did where he only took up the pre-travel (not going beyond the wall) to show that just by taking up the pre-travel you eliminate/remove all the internal safeties.
