There are just over 700 FFLs left in Washington, down 50% from 2 years ago. More and more are closing, and with then never ending slew of restrictions coming down on Washington citizens. The products we are able to sell have been cut nearly in half. The liability and property insurance costs have skyrocketed. The taxes and fees charged by the state are growing. Our health insurance has nearly doubled in the past 4 years. The cost of compliance with state rules about the dealers building were huge this past year. The cost to obtain a firearm permit to purchase and a CPL are going up dramatically (live fire training, class room fingerprint, processing times, delays in finding available classes). The delays in receiving a firearm continue to increase (waiting period, permit application, training times). A new 11% tax on all items equates to over 21% sales tax (hello Oregon and Idaho), and then you have the City of Seattle suing dealers for lawfully selling firearms.

Declining revenues, skyrocketing costs, and increased risk of litigation, it's the perfect storm, the Democrat's wet dream. Regulate us out of business.

The Legislature has kneecapped the industry, as a back door to gun control...just make them scarce so only rich folks can afford them.

Rant over.
I will be coming by your store soon to purchase another pistol. Been a while since I've bought a gun.

Welchers in Tacoma, Pintos and Buds in Renton have all been good to me. Still lots of good people out there, unfortunately it is getting harder and the FFL transfers just keep getting more expensive thanks to the state.
