Is this consistent between your two cartridges?I find that I have gained 10-15 fps of velocity with the suppressor vs without, so not much change.

Exactly this! We tossed a can on my buddy's mesa in 300wm and it was so pleasant, no recoil, and I put a half box through it without hearing protection. No ringing no headache my eyebrows were still attached. It was awesome, good enough the following weekend I picked up a threaded ab3 in 300wm and with a can I wouldn't have 2nd thoughts about handing it too my wife to hunt with.I did not consider a can for my hunting rifles based on sound suppression, although it is a nice benefit. My main reason was to reduce recoil without a muzzle brake as I still deplore them despite their effectiveness. The sythe ti can I chose reduces recoil very effectively and is quite light and fairly short. I find that I have gained 10-15 fps of velocity with the suppressor vs without, so not much change.

I suppose if you try running too large of projectile through too small of a hole that may change your point of impact immenselyI have played around with a couple silencers on .22lr guns and my 458 socom pistol and rifle but have never really used them on my main hunting rifles in the field. I have noticed a definite shift in poi but group size has stayed relative consistent in my limited testing. I am now going to utilize a can full time on my hunting rifles and want to hear your thoughts. I like the sound reduction and recoil reduction which certainly can't hurt accuracy. Putting 8-16oz out at the end of the barrel certainly has the potential to negatively or positively impact group size, so let's hear your experiences!
Generally speaking, they will slightly increase velocity. Naturally, it varies on what is being launched and from what, but many times the difference is negligible. So I'm on the opposite side here, but I'd like to know, does a can affect velocity in any way?
