DIY M Lok slots

Saw a photo on reddit of a 10/22 takedown with a two piece bipod. Thought it was an interesting solution, so I got one of those bipods from a member here, drew out a pair of m lok slots on either side of the handguard, and cut them out with a dremel type tool. Cleaned up quite well, and now I can keep a bipod on my takedown. I can take them off, and m lok covers fit nice and flush.

Wishing however that they sold clamp style jigs to help cut out m lok, or keymod slots.

How have other people approached this problem?

What would you have done differently?

That's a nice, useful mod.
It kinda messed up the packing profile, though, unless you're securing it to the outside of your pack.

Still fits in the original takedown bag, just not in one of the pockets. Thinking it needs a 2.5x scout scope next. Full silliness.
