Gunfire Sale

Northwest Armory salesman Greg Apple points to features on an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle. “Honestly, I’d be happy if they went back to the 1994 assault weapons ban,” he says. “Who gives a crap about a bayonet lug? People will be happy with what they have.”

Either he was talking very loosely, was misquoted, or he is not familiar with the ban (which I find impossible to believe). I also do not give a crap about bayonet lugs, but that was hardly the worst part of the ban.

The danger is that if an insignificant feature like a bayonet lug can scare people then what's next? If some one agrees that we shouldn't have bayonet lugs then how can you make an argument against the other things liberal cowards want banned? Never compromise on this type of issue as it will be used against you by those who see you as the enemy in the future.
