Under the Federal Trade Commission Act, "unfair methods of competition in or affecting commerce, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce, are hereby declared unlawful."

This might be a stretch, but it strikes me that gun legislation implemented at a municipal, state, or federal level using deceptive claims (i.e. mag bans will reduce gun violence), or that imposes significant cost increases on owning or selling firearms should be unlawful not only for their impact on 2nd Amendment rights, but also for their impact on lawful commerce by American businesses.

That got me thinking - what other legal actions can be taken to support and defend gun rights aside from the 2A? Commerce seems like a logical legal area to explore. Does anyone know of other legal avenues that might be worthwhile to look into?
