Colt is the definition of milspec, they wrote the TDP.. The 6920 is the closest thing a civilian can get to an M4.
I love the old colts I have an unfired 6920 with the double bullet lower and a colt socom 2 with five rounds through it. The le6920 is worth more from what I understand. But they only made 1500 of the socom 2 back in 2012. Both are great guns. But I end up shooting my colt ar15- a4 in kac furniture the most.

People have been asking for a lightweight or pencil profile Dissipator barrel forever..... At least from what I've read. The vast majority of what's available are HBAR profile behind the gas block, or carbine/Midlength low profile gas systems on either M4 profile or HBAR profile barrels.
To be fair, that demand is from a relatively small part of the market.

I bought a 20" A1 chromed criterion with fsb from Fulton maybe 5 years ago. Not sure if they sell it any more. I felt lucky to find it at the time.

Fulton still lists A1, C7, A2 Service Rifles and NM models on their site, still using Criterion barrels.

A1 profile barrels are a relatively hot thing now, KAK offers a stripped one with chrome lining and phosphate coating. Other makers are offering A1 and A2 profile barrels for the retro market which seem to be getting big enough that companies are bringing back fixed carry handle variants, most popularly the "Gordon" carbines and the other shorties.

Sad to see them close up. Had one many years back. One of my first. It ran decent and was value priced.
