CZ manual sourceSelf-loading models. The self-loading shotgun must first be put into the condition in which the feeder enables feeding shotgun shells into the magazine. For this purpose, pull the bolt to its rearmost position, where it remains caught. Grasp the firearm from below and push the bolt release, situated on the side of the receiver (Fig. 2), to release the bolt back into its front position. Take care to avoid getting your fingers injured during this operation! Secure the firearm by shifting the safety (refer to Chapter "Handling the safety").Insert shells into the magazine, situated in the forestock, one by one by placing them on the feeder and pushing them forward in the direction of fire until they are fully inserted. Once the magazine has been loaded with the required number of shells, push the side control on the left in front of the trigger guard on the trigger mechanism to strip the shell out of the magazine. When the bolt is pulled back again and released, the shell is passed into the cartridge chamber and the firing mechanism is cocked. In this condition, the firearm is loaded and secured against accidental firing.
