Here we have a very complete and smooth-running Sears Craftsman (SHERLINE 4000) Mini Lathe and Mill. It is/was made by Sherline Products for Sears back in the 1980s. Sherline is an American company founded in 1974 and is still in business. They sell brand new mini lathes, attachments, accessories, spare parts as well as provide excellent service work. All the parts for this lathe are still available - brand new.
This precision machine is designed to accomplish virtually all tasks that a larger-format Lathe & Mill machine can deliver – just on a smaller scale. It has a 3" swing and has 8" between centers. It comes with an assortment of specialty accessories and attachments including: a 3 jaw lathe chuck, complete mill assembly unit for vertical milling, mounting plate & lathe dog, collet chuck w/collet assortment, (2) tool holders and an assortment of HSS tooling bits and end mills.
This rig is very capable of completing your 80% Lower project and for fabricating firing pins and custom gun parts.
Condition: Runs like a Swiss watch with integral variable speed control. Not much more to say here for those familiar with these machines. Asking $375.00 or best offer.
